The NORDIC PURE 10x20x2M12-3 is a MERV 12 pleated air filter sold in a 3-pack, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. Each filter measures 9.5 x 19.5 x 1.75 inches actual size with a nominal size of 10x20x2. The electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic filter media captures lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, and other airborne contaminants. The moisture-resistant beverage board frame adds durability in varying humidity conditions. MERV 12 efficiency is equivalent to MPR 1500-1900 on competing rating scales, per ASHRAE standards.
This filter is suited for residential homes and commercial spaces where moderate-to-high indoor air quality is a priority. It is particularly well matched for environments with pets, allergy sufferers, or occupants with asthma. Typical install scenarios include forced-air gas furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems where a 10x20x2 nominal filter slot is present. Recommended replacement interval is every 1 to 3 months depending on occupancy, pet presence, and local air quality conditions. More frequent changes are advised in high-dust or high-allergen environments.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for residential and light commercial HVAC systems requiring a 10x20x2 nominal filter size. Actual filter dimensions are 9.5 x 19.5 x 1.75 inches. Always verify the actual slot dimensions before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ across equipment.
Air filters in this size range are typically serviced by HVAC technicians or qualified DIYers during routine maintenance. Before replacing the filter, shut down the air handler or furnace at the unit switch or thermostat to prevent unfiltered air bypass during changeover. Note the airflow direction arrow printed on the filter frame and orient it toward the blower, not toward the return duct. Inspect the filter slot for any gaps or bypasses that could allow unfiltered air to enter the system.
