The NORDIC PURE 10x20x1M13+C-2 is a MERV 13 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 2-pack. The electrostatically charged synthetic media captures fine airborne particulates while the activated carbon panel adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The result is both particulate control and odor reduction in a single filter pass. HVAC technicians and facility maintenance professionals install this filter in residential and light-commercial forced-air systems where indoor air quality is a priority. The antimicrobial media inhibits bacterial and mold growth within the filter itself, extending effective service life between changes.
This filter fits nominal 10 x 20 x 1 inch filter slots with an actual size of 9.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches. It is suited for residential furnaces, central air handlers, and split-system HVAC equipment where the filter rack accepts a 1-inch media filter. The MERV 13 rating makes it appropriate for applications requiring capture of fine dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke particles, bacteria, and virus carriers. It performs comparably to filters rated MPR 2200-2400 and is intended as a direct replacement for standard 1-inch disposable filters in the same nominal size slot.
Designed as a direct replacement for nominal 10 x 20 x 1 inch filter slots in residential and light-commercial forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and central HVAC systems. Actual filter dimensions are 9.5 x 19.5 x 0.75 inches. Verify the actual slot dimensions before installation, as nominal and actual filter sizes often differ across equipment manufacturers.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Power down the air handler or furnace at the unit disconnect and at the thermostat before opening the filter compartment. Confirm airflow direction and install with the directional arrow on the frame oriented toward the blower. Filters in this class are typically replaced every 30 to 90 days depending on system runtime, occupancy conditions, and local air quality.
