The NORDIC PURE 10x14x1CustomM12-6 is a custom-cut pleated AC furnace air filter rated MERV 12, sold in a six-pack. It is designed for residential and light commercial HVAC systems where higher filtration efficiency is required without sacrificing airflow. The electrostatically charged filter media captures over 90% of airborne particles in the 3-10 micron range and 80-90% in the 1-3 micron range. Targeted contaminants include lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, smoke, bacteria, and virus carriers. The filter is built on a heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame. HVAC technicians, building maintenance professionals, and knowledgeable DIYers install this filter as a direct drop-in replacement during routine filter service.
This filter is suited for residential furnaces, central air conditioning systems, and light commercial air handlers where a nominal 10x14x1 filter slot is specified. The actual dimensions are 9.5 inches by 13.5 inches by 0.75 inches, which is the standard actual-size reduction from nominal for this filter class. The MERV 12 rating is equivalent to MPR 1500-1900 on manufacturer-specific scales. Nordic Pure recommends replacement every 1-3 months under normal conditions. Households with pets or allergy sufferers should replace filters more frequently. This is a custom-made size and is not eligible for return.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial HVAC systems accepting a nominal 10x14x1 filter. Verify fit using the actual size of 9.5 inches by 13.5 inches by 0.75 inches before ordering. Custom sizes are non-returnable; measure the existing filter carefully prior to purchase.
Filter replacement is typically performed by HVAC technicians or qualified building maintenance staff but is within the scope of an experienced DIYer. Always set the thermostat to off and cut power to the air handler or furnace at the disconnect before opening the filter compartment. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Replace on a 1-3 month schedule, or more frequently in high-dust or high-allergen environments.
