The NONSTOCK 4129-167 is a CPVC CTS reducer coupling with socket connections, designed to join pipes of two different diameters in chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) copper tube size (CTS) plumbing systems. This fitting transitions from a 1-1/4-inch line down to a 1/2-inch line using a solvent-weld socket connection on each end. It carries a continuous working pressure rating of 100 psi at 180 degrees F and 400 psi at 73 degrees F, making it well-suited for hot and cold domestic water distribution. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in residential and light commercial applications.
This reducer coupling is used in CPVC CTS piping systems where a diameter reduction is required between supply lines or branch connections. Typical installations include domestic hot and cold water distribution, where CPVC is selected for its resistance to corrosion and elevated-temperature performance. The socket ends accept standard CPVC CTS pipe and are joined using CPVC-rated solvent cement. It is appropriate for residential new construction, retrofit work, and repair applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for CPVC CTS plumbing systems using standard 1-1/4-inch and 1/2-inch CTS pipe dimensions.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or fitting. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer; do not substitute PVC cement. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer's instructions before restoring pressure to the system.
