The NOGA PH3100 is a magnetic-base indicator positioner holder designed for precision measurement and inspection work on machine tools, surface plates, and fabrication setups. The unit features a 70 lb magnetic pull base that locks firmly to ferrous surfaces, a post and articulated arm configuration for multi-axis positioning, and a fine adjustment mechanism that allows dial indicators and test indicators to be zeroed in without disturbing the overall setup. The overall length is 8 inches, and the rectangular base stands 1.38 inches tall. Machinists, quality technicians, and toolroom professionals are the primary installers and users of this holder.
The PH3100 is suited for precision measurement applications in machine shops, toolrooms, and quality control environments. It mounts to any clean, flat ferrous surface and accepts standard dial indicators or test indicators via the included attachment hardware. The post height is 120 mm and the post diameter is 10 mm. The articulated arm extends 110 mm and has an 8 mm diameter. The clamping diameter accommodates indicators with 3/8 inch shanks as well as 6 mm and 8 mm shanks, covering a wide range of standard indicator body sizes used in trade and industrial settings.
Designed for use with standard dial indicators and test indicators featuring 3/8 inch, 6 mm, or 8 mm shank diameters. Suitable for mounting on any flat, clean ferrous surface.
This holder is installed by machinists and metrology technicians and requires no special tools beyond the indicator being mounted. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and free of chips, oil film, or debris before engaging the magnetic base, as surface contamination will reduce effective pull force. Disengage the magnetic base before repositioning the arm to avoid dragging the unit across precision surfaces. Tighten all arm clamp knobs securely before taking measurements to prevent indicator drift.
