The NOGA MG71003 is a magnetic indicator base designed to hold dial indicators, test indicators, and similar precision measuring instruments securely during inspection and measurement tasks. It features a strong 80 kg magnetic pull force and an articulated arm that allows flexible positioning across a wide range of setups. The on/off switch lets the technician engage or release the magnetic base without moving the workpiece or disturbing the setup. With a base length of 2.36 inches, base width of 1.97 inches, and base height of 2.17 inches, it is compact enough for use on machine tables, surface plates, lathes, and milling machines. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and quality control personnel are the primary users.
The MG71003 is suited for precision measurement applications in machining, fabrication, and quality assurance environments. It mounts to any ferrous surface and holds a dial or test indicator in a fixed position for runout checks, surface flatness verification, bore alignment, and similar tasks. The articulated arm provides a reach of 13.68 inches, giving the user enough range to position the indicator tip over features that would be difficult to access with a fixed-arm base. The M8 thread connection at the arm tip accepts a wide range of indicator holders and accessories. The top-mounted adjustor provides convenient single-hand repositioning without tools.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit magnetic base for use with dial indicators, test indicators, and similar precision measuring instruments that accept an articulated arm mount with M8 thread connection.
A machinist or metrology technician installs this base by placing it on a clean, flat ferrous surface and engaging the on/off switch to lock it in place. Ensure the mounting surface is free of chips, oil film, or debris that could reduce magnetic holding force. Position the articulated arm and tighten the adjustor before taking measurements to prevent indicator drift. Power down any rotating machinery before placing or repositioning the base on a machine table.
