The NOGA MG60103 is an articulated arm indicator positioner holder with fine adjustment, designed to hold dial indicators, test indicators, and similar measurement instruments in a fixed position during inspection and quality control work. The arm features a magnetic base mount and spans an overall length of 10.5 inches, with a base height of 5.26 inches. The fine adjustment mechanism allows precise repositioning of the indicator tip without disturbing the base, which is critical for repeatable measurement setups on machine tools, surface plates, and production fixtures. Machinists, metrology techs, and quality control professionals are the primary users of this tool.
The MG60103 is suited for use in machine shops, manufacturing cells, and inspection stations where a stable, repositionable indicator holder is required. The articulated arm design accommodates a wide range of indicator placement angles, making it appropriate for both horizontal and vertical measurement setups. The magnetic base allows quick mounting and repositioning on ferrous machine surfaces without additional fixturing. This holder is a direct bench and machine tool accessory used in both light production and precision inspection environments.
Designed for use with standard dial indicators and test indicators with stem diameters of 6.00 mm or 8.00 mm (3/8 inch). Includes M8 thread interface and ships with M8/M8 Adapter AD8080, MG Arms MG60003, Spare Knob MG1620, and Zinc Cast Fine Adjustment FA1500 as stated by the manufacturer.
Mounting is performed by placing the magnetic base onto a clean, flat ferrous surface and engaging the base lock before positioning the arm. Ensure the surface is free of chips, coolant buildup, or debris that could reduce magnetic holding force. The indicator stem should be inserted into the clamp and tightened securely before engaging fine adjustment. No special tools or codes are required for setup, but confirm the magnetic base is fully engaged before taking measurements to prevent indicator drift.
