The NOGA MA61003 is an articulated-arm indicator positioner holder designed for precision measurement setups in machining, inspection, and metrology applications. It features a fine adjustment mechanism and a rectangular magnetic base rated at 286 pounds of pull force, providing a stable, vibration-resistant platform for dial indicators, test indicators, and similar gauging instruments. The arm extends to an overall length of 22.25 inches (580 mm), allowing flexible reach across workpieces or machine tables. The magnetic base mounts on/off via a dedicated switch, and the base height measures 9.5 inches. This holder is installed by machinists, quality control technicians, and precision measurement professionals.
The MA61003 is suited for use on ferromagnetic machine tables, surface plates, lathes, mills, grinders, and similar shop equipment where a rigid, repositionable indicator arm is required. The articulated arm design allows multi-angle positioning to reach difficult measurement points. Fine adjustment capability enables precise zeroing of the indicator without disturbing the base. The kit includes multiple adapters and accessories, making it compatible with a range of indicator mounting stems and thread sizes encountered in typical shop environments.
Compatible with indicators and gauging instruments using 3/8 inch or M10 x 1.25 mounting stems via included adapters AD1030, AD1000, and AD1080. Includes MA Arms MA60003 for expanded arm configurations. Designed for use on ferromagnetic surfaces such as machine tables and surface plates.
Installation is performed by machinists or metrology technicians. Verify the mounting surface is clean, flat, and ferromagnetic before engaging the magnetic base. Disengage the on/off magnet before repositioning the holder to prevent dragging the base across precision surfaces. Confirm all arm joints and the fine adjustment knob are locked securely before taking measurements to prevent indicator drift.
