The NOGA DG61003 is a magnetic-base indicator positioner holder designed for securing dial indicators, test indicators, and similar precision measurement instruments during inspection and machining operations. The unit combines an articulated arm with a fine-adjustment mechanism, allowing technicians to position an indicator exactly where needed and lock it firmly in place. The magnetic base delivers 175 lb of pull force, keeping the assembly stable on ferrous machine tables, surface plates, and similar workholding surfaces. The package includes the DG arm set, an on/off magnet, and a zinc cast fine adjustment unit, making it a complete out-of-the-box solution for metrology setups.
This holder suits precision measurement tasks in machine shops, quality control environments, and tool rooms. It is appropriate for use with dial indicators and test indicators mounted to standard clamping diameters. The articulated arm design provides multi-axis positioning flexibility, making it practical for bore gauging, runout measurement, and surface inspection on milling machines, lathes, and granite surface plates. The on/off magnet base allows the unit to be placed and released quickly without disturbing adjacent setups.
Compatible with indicators and probes using a 3/8 inch or 6.00 mm to 8.00 mm clamping diameter. Designed for use with standard M8 threaded connections. Includes DG60003 arm set, DG0036 on/off magnet, and FA1500 zinc cast fine adjustment unit.
Installation is performed by metrology technicians or machinists and requires no special tools beyond hand-tightening of the articulated arm joints. Before activating the magnetic base, confirm the mounting surface is clean, flat, and free of chips or debris that could reduce contact force or cause the base to shift. Always engage the fine adjustment only after the arm joints are snugged to avoid unintended indicator movement. Deactivate the magnet using the on/off switch before repositioning the assembly.
