The NOGA DG1013 is a fine-adjustment indicator positioner holder designed to secure dial gauges and test indicators during precision measurement tasks. It features an articulated arm construction that allows multi-axis positioning, giving the technician repeatable, stable placement at the point of measurement. The arm extends to 261 millimeters (approximately 11 inches) overall length and clamps shafts up to 3/8 inch in diameter via an M8 thread interface. A rectangular magnetic base locks the assembly firmly to ferrous surfaces. This tool is used by machinists, tool and die technicians, and maintenance professionals who require consistent indicator positioning during setup, inspection, or alignment work.
The DG1013 is suited for machine shop environments, production floors, and maintenance bays where dial indicators or test indicators must be held in fixed position during runout checks, surface inspections, or fixture alignment procedures. The magnetic base attaches directly to ferrous machine tables, lathe beds, milling machine columns, and similar flat or curved ferrous surfaces. The articulated arm allows the operator to reach over workholding fixtures or into recessed areas without losing rigidity once the arm is locked down. A dedicated dial gauge holder is included.
Designed as a standard-style replacement and upgrade positioner for dial gauges and test indicators with a 3/8 inch stem diameter; compatible with most conventional dial gauge holders used on magnetic base setups in machine shop and maintenance applications.
Installation is performed by machinists and precision measurement technicians without special tooling. Before activating the magnetic base, confirm the mounting surface is clean, flat, and free of chips or debris that could reduce holding force or introduce positioning error. Engage the magnetic base only after the arm is roughly positioned to avoid dragging the base across finished surfaces. Tighten all arm joints and the indicator clamp before taking measurements to eliminate vibration-induced drift.
