The NIKCOLE MINI-SYSTEMS GIE7GP1.OR-N C5 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert designed for precision parting and groove operations on steel workpieces. It carries a C5 material grade and features a PVD coating for extended wear resistance. The insert has a 1.00 mm (0.0390 inch) cutting width and a neutral lead angle with right-hand orientation, making it suited for straight, chatter-resistant cutoff passes. Licensed machinists and CNC lathe operators install this insert into compatible GIE-series toolholders as part of the Nikcole Mini-Systems platform.

This insert is intended for cut-off and grooving applications on steel in both production and job-shop turning environments. The GP chipbreaker geometry controls chip formation during shallow to moderate-depth grooving. Maximum depth of cut reaches 6.00 mm (0.2362 inches), and the cutting height of 7.00 mm (0.2750 inches) fits standard GIE-7 blade-style holders. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Seat the insert fully into the toolholder pocket and confirm secure clamping before resuming cuts. Do not exceed the rated maximum depth of cut of 6.00 mm to avoid insert breakage or workpiece damage.
