The NIKCOLE MINI-SYSTEMS GIE7GP1.0L-L C2 is a solid carbide cutoff and grooving insert designed for precision parting and groove operations on non-ferrous metals. It features a 1.00 mm (0.0394 inch) cutting width and a 7-degree left-hand lead angle, making it suited for left-hand tooling setups where chip direction and cutting geometry must match the application. The GP chipbreaker geometry supports controlled chip formation during cut-off work. The insert carries a C2 material grade and is coated for added wear resistance. Machining professionals and CNC tooling setups targeting non-ferrous workpiece materials are the primary users of this insert.
This insert is used in cut-off and grooving applications on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. It fits left-hand tooling holders within the GIE-7 series from the Nikcole Mini-Systems platform. The 7 mm cutting height and maximum depth of cut of 6.00 mm (0.2362 inch) make it appropriate for small-diameter parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It is a multi-use insert compatible with grooving and cutoff holder bodies designed for the GIE insert style.
Designed for use with GIE-7 series left-hand tooling holders in the Nikcole Mini-Systems platform. Suited for cut-off and grooving of non-ferrous metals. Verify holder series and hand orientation before installation.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing inserts. Confirm insert hand orientation and holder compatibility before seating. Do not exceed the rated maximum depth of cut during operation.
