The NIKCOLE MINI-SYSTEMS GIE7 SG0.9L C6 is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for precision grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to GIE insert style geometry with a left-hand cutting orientation, this insert features a 0.9 mm cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 2.54 mm. The C6 carbide grade and SG chip breaker geometry support controlled chip formation in demanding turning applications. Screw-held mounting provides secure, repeatable insert positioning. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in production turning environments.
This grooving insert is suited for external and internal grooving operations in both production and job-shop turning environments. The SG chip breaker is optimized for standard grooving profiles where chip control and surface finish consistency are priorities. At a cutting height of 7.00 mm and an overall length of 17.00 mm, this insert fits toolholders designed for the Nikcole Mini-Systems series. Left-hand cutting orientation must be matched to the correct toolholder configuration before installation.
Designed for use with Nikcole Mini-Systems series GIE-style toolholders configured for left-hand grooving inserts with a 7 mm cutting height.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Confirm the toolholder is designed for GIE-style screw-held inserts and matches the left-hand cutting orientation of this insert before mounting. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when seating the clamping screw - do not overtighten.
