The NIBCO PCH611114 is a 1-1/4 inch copper press tee fitting designed for tool-based press connections in copper tubing systems. It eliminates open-flame soldering by using a mechanical press tool to create a secure, leak-tested joint. The fitting is sized at 1-1/4 inches on all three outlets and is suited for licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on gas distribution, compressed air, or potable water piping. A distinctive N-shaped witness mark becomes visible on the fitting after a proper crimp is achieved, providing a visual confirmation of a complete joint without the need for pressure testing at that stage.
This fitting is intended for use in residential and commercial applications where copper tubing is the specified pipe material. Typical installations include in-wall and underground gas supply runs, compressed air distribution systems, and domestic water piping. The press-fit design is well suited for retrofits or tenant improvements where torch use is restricted or impractical. The fitting can be installed in underground configurations where access after backfill is limited, making a permanent mechanical joint especially important.
Designed for use with seamless copper water tube in residential and commercial gas, compressed air, and water piping systems. Compatible with standard press tooling, jaws, and chains appropriate for 1-1/4 inch copper press fittings.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter using a compatible press tool and the correct jaw size for 1-1/4 inch copper press fittings. Shut off and depressurize the affected gas or water supply line completely before cutting into existing piping. For gas systems, verify compliance with applicable local codes and IFGC requirements before and after installation. Consult NIBCO technical data sheets for engineering specifications and approved tool compatibility before beginning work.
