The NIBCO NL95I04 is a 2-piece, full port manual ball valve designed for quarter-turn shutoff in residential and commercial piping systems. Built with a bronze body and bronze trim, it accepts 1/4 inch female NPT connections on both ends. The full port design minimizes pressure drop across the valve, making it well suited for applications where flow restriction must be kept low. It carries a maximum working pressure of 600 psi, giving it the pressure rating needed for demanding plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical system installations. A lever handle with memory stop allows the operator to return the valve to a consistent open position after service. Plumbers and pipefitters are the primary tradespeople who install and service this valve.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic systems where a reliable, compact shutoff is needed at a 1/4 inch pipe connection. The FNPT x FNPT end configuration makes it straightforward to thread into existing iron pipe or copper adapter fittings. Common install scenarios include branch shutoffs, equipment isolation valves, and test ports on small-diameter lines. The reinforced PTFE seat provides low-torque operation and maintains a reliable seal across a broad range of fluid temperatures and pressures typical in domestic water and hydronic heating applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install manual ball valve for 1/4 inch FNPT piping in residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and mechanical systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before threading the valve into line. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to male NPT threads per standard trade practice, and avoid over-tightening, which can stress the bronze body. Confirm the lever orientation matches the desired open and closed positions before restoring system pressure.
