The NIBCO NJ34005 is a bronze integral globe valve designed for 3/8 inch pipe with soldered end connections. Globe valves of this type provide reliable flow control and shutoff in plumbing and HVAC hydronic systems. This valve features a PTFE disc and a union bonnet, allowing the internal components to be serviced without removing the valve body from the line. Rated at 300 psi WOG and 150 psi WSP at Class 150, it is suited for both water and steam service applications. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors are the primary installers.
This valve is typically installed in residential and light commercial plumbing, steam, and hydronic heating systems where a compact, serviceable shutoff or flow-control point is needed on 3/8 inch copper tubing lines. The soldered end configuration makes it a standard fit for sweat-connection copper piping systems. Its union bonnet design is especially practical in applications where periodic inspection or disc replacement is expected without full line disassembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation globe valve for 3/8 inch copper sweat piping systems in plumbing, steam, and hydronic heating applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable IPC and IFGC code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the supply line and allow all components to cool completely before cutting into an existing system. Use proper soldering flux and lead-free solder when making sweat connections per local code. Verify pressure ratings are compatible with system operating conditions before placing the valve in service.
