The NIBCO NHA701E is a non-rising stem gate valve designed for isolation service in commercial and industrial piping systems. Built with a ductile iron body and a bolted bonnet, this valve handles 2-1/2 inch flanged raised face connections at a pressure class of 150. The solid wedge disc provides full-bore flow when open and a positive shutoff when closed. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this valve in mechanical rooms, process lines, and utility distribution systems where reliable on/off control is required. The bolted bonnet design allows for field maintenance without removing the valve from the line.
This valve is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic systems, and light industrial piping applications where a Class 150 flanged connection is specified. The non-rising stem design makes it a practical choice in confined spaces where vertical stem travel would be obstructed. It is commonly installed on water, non-corrosive fluid, and hydronic heating and cooling distribution mains where flange bolt patterns conform to ANSI Class 150 face dimensions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation gate valve for 2-1/2 inch ANSI Class 150 flanged raised face piping systems in commercial HVAC, plumbing, and light industrial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC and ASME B31 piping codes. Depressurize and drain the line fully before removing any existing valve or making flanged connections. Verify gasket material compatibility with the fluid service before bolting up the flanged faces. Torque flange bolts in a cross pattern following the gasket manufacturer's guidelines for the specific gasket type used.
