The NIBCO INC T00080D is a 1/2-inch CPVC 45-degree elbow fitting used to change flow direction in chlorinated polyvinyl chloride piping systems. It is a standard socket-connect fitting suited for hot and cold potable water distribution, as well as residential and light commercial plumbing applications. The 45-degree angle provides a gradual directional change compared to a 90-degree elbow, helping reduce turbulence and pressure drop in the line. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of supply-line rough-in work and fixture connections. It ships in a package quantity of 50 units.
This fitting is designed for use in 1/2-inch CPVC pipe systems commonly found in residential plumbing, multi-family construction, and light commercial builds. It is appropriate for applications requiring a moderate change in pipe direction without the abruptness of a 90-degree turn. The socket-connect design is bonded using CPVC solvent cement following standard joining procedures per the applicable plumbing code.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 1/2-inch CPVC piping systems in residential and light commercial plumbing installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for CPVC solvent cementing. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting and fitting. Use a CPVC-rated primer and solvent cement — do not substitute PVC cement. Allow full cure time before pressurizing the system.
