The NIBCO I177200 is a drain, waste, and vent (DWV) plug fitting used to cap off 1-1/2-inch male iron pipe thread (MIPT) connections in residential and commercial plumbing systems. Molded from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), this plug handles operating temperatures from -40 degrees F to 180 degrees F, making it suitable for standard indoor DWV applications. At 0.05 pounds, it is a lightweight, single-piece fitting intended for system testing, service capping, or permanent termination of unused ports. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of drain, waste, and vent rough-in and service work.
