The NIBCO CN02000 is a 3/4 inch Schedule 80 polypropylene 90 degree elbow fitting designed for plastic piping systems requiring a right-angle change in direction. Constructed from polypropylene, this fitting offers solid chemical resistance and is suited for applications where standard PVC or metal fittings are not appropriate. End connections are Slip by SR FIPT, allowing one socket end for solvent or thermal fusion and one female iron pipe thread end for transitional connections. At 0.08 pounds, the fitting is lightweight and easy to handle during installation in tight spaces. Licensed plumbers and pipe fitters are the primary installers of Schedule 80 polypropylene fittings in both commercial and industrial settings.
This elbow is intended for use in Schedule 80 polypropylene piping systems found in chemical processing, industrial fluid handling, and plumbing applications where elevated pressure ratings and chemical compatibility are required. Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipe fitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before cutting into any existing line. The slip end is designed for solvent cement or thermal fusion joining per the pipe manufacturer specifications; do not use solvent cement formulated for PVC on polypropylene. The SR FIPT end should be made up with appropriate thread sealant compatible with polypropylene and the conveyed fluid.
