The NIBCO CE02600 is a Schedule 80 PVDF socket cap fitting designed to terminate 1-inch plastic piping systems. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a high-purity thermoplastic rated for aggressive chemical service, making this cap well-suited for corrosive fluid handling in industrial, chemical processing, and high-purity water applications. The fitting ships with a Slip socket inlet and an SR FIPT threaded outlet, with a maximum working temperature of 280 degrees F and a minimum working temperature of 73 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this type of fitting where a branch or run-end must be cleanly capped and sealed against process media.
This cap is intended for use in Schedule 80 plastic piping systems handling corrosive or high-purity media. Typical installation scenarios include chemical feed lines, deionized water loops, semiconductor fabrication facilities, and industrial process piping where metal fittings are incompatible with the conveyed fluid. The Slip x SR FIPT end configuration accommodates both solvent-cemented socket connections and threaded takeoffs at the same fitting, adding flexibility to a terminal connection point. Verify chemical compatibility with the specific media before installation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard component for 1-inch Schedule 80 PVDF plastic piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic piping systems. Depressurize and drain the piping system fully before removing or installing any fitting. Solvent cementing of PVDF requires PVDF-compatible cement and primer — standard PVC or CPVC cements are not suitable for this material. Follow applicable plumbing and process piping codes, including IPC and any site-specific chemical process safety requirements.
