The NIBCO CE00200 is a Schedule 80 PVDF socket coupling designed for joining 2-inch plastic pipe sections in demanding fluid-handling systems. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) offers excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals, UV exposure, and high-purity process fluids, making this coupling a reliable choice where standard PVC or CPVC is not suitable. The slip by SR female iron pipe thread (Slip x SR FIPT) end connections allow the fitting to mate with plain-end pipe on one side and a threaded port on the other. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this type of Schedule 80 thermoplastic fitting.
This coupling is used in chemical processing lines, industrial water treatment, semiconductor fabrication, laboratory piping, and similar applications where aggressive media or purity requirements demand a high-performance thermoplastic. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure capability compared to Schedule 40 fittings of the same material. The 2-inch size suits mid-range flow distribution headers and branch runs in both commercial and light industrial settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 2-inch Schedule 80 PVDF piping systems using socket and threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic solvent-cement or mechanical joining procedures per applicable IPC and local code requirements. Depressurize and drain the line completely before cutting into any existing piping. Use only cements, primers, and thread sealants rated for PVDF and the specific media being conveyed. Avoid over-torquing threaded connections, as PVDF is more notch-sensitive than metal fittings.
