The NIBCO CE00100 is a Schedule 80 PVDF socket coupling designed for joining 1-inch plastic pipe in demanding industrial and chemical process piping systems. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) offers excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive chemicals, UV exposure, and elevated temperatures, making it a preferred material where standard PVC or CPVC fittings are not suitable. The coupling features Slip x SR FIPT end connections and meets ASTM D3222 standards. Plumbers and pipefitters working on chemical handling, high-purity water, or industrial process lines are the primary installers of this fitting.
This coupling is suited for use in commercial and industrial piping applications where chemical resistance and schedule 80 pressure ratings are required. Typical installations include chemical feed lines, semiconductor fabrication water systems, laboratory plumbing, and other specialty fluid-handling systems. The Slip x SR FIPT configuration accommodates both solvent-cemented socket connections and threaded female connections in a single fitting, offering flexibility in system layout and assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-inch Schedule 80 PVDF piping systems in industrial and chemical process applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with plastic piping systems and applicable codes such as the IPC. Solvent-cement joints on PVDF require PVDF-compatible cement and primer — do not substitute PVC or CPVC solvent cement. Depressurize and drain the piping system fully before cutting into an existing line. Allow solvent-cemented joints to cure for the full time specified by the cement manufacturer before returning the system to service.
