The NIBCO CD03040 is a PVDF plastic flush socket reducer bushing designed for Schedule 80 plastic piping systems. It transitions pipe from a 1-inch spigot end to a 1/2-inch socket end, making it a standard size-reduction fitting in chemical, industrial, and high-purity fluid handling applications. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) offers strong resistance to a broad range of corrosive chemicals, UV exposure, and elevated temperatures, making it the material of choice where standard PVC or CPVC would be inadequate. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting using solvent-cement joining methods appropriate to Schedule 80 PVDF systems.
