The NIBCO CD02100 is a Schedule 80 PVDF tee fitting designed for industrial and chemical piping systems where corrosion resistance and pressure integrity are critical. Constructed from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this fitting handles aggressive fluids, acids, and high-purity water applications that would compromise standard thermoplastic or metal fittings. All three ports use female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connections for straightforward threaded assembly. At 1 inch in size, it fits standard Schedule 80 piping runs and is identified by its red color for easy material identification in the field. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters are the typical installers.
This fitting is suited for chemical processing, semiconductor manufacturing, water treatment, and industrial fluid handling systems where PVDF is specified. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure rating and mechanical strength compared to Schedule 40, making it appropriate for higher-pressure service lines. The FIPT x FIPT x FIPT configuration allows connection to male-threaded pipe or fittings on all three branches, supporting tee-branch takeoffs in a threaded PVDF system.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1 inch Schedule 80 PVDF threaded piping systems using FIPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter familiar with thermoplastic threaded fittings. Depressurize and drain the piping system fully before removing any existing fittings. Use PTFE thread tape or a thread sealant rated for PVDF and the specific process fluid — do not use sealants that contain solvents incompatible with PVDF. Do not overtighten threaded connections; excessive torque can crack thermoplastic fittings.
