The NIBCO CD01750 is a Schedule 80 PVDF socket tee fitting designed for 1/2 inch pipe systems requiring chemical resistance and mechanical durability. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a high-performance thermoplastic suited for aggressive fluid handling applications where standard PVC or CPVC would be inadequate. This tee features three socket ends (S x S x S) for solvent-cemented connections and is molded in red for easy visual identification in multi-material piping systems. Licensed plumbers and industrial piping contractors typically install this fitting in chemical process, high-purity water, or industrial service lines.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial piping systems that handle corrosive chemicals, ultrapure water, or other fluids incompatible with metal fittings. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure capacity compared to Schedule 40, making it appropriate for higher-pressure process lines. The S x S x S end connections accept standard 1/2 inch socket-style pipe, allowing in-line tee branch connections using compatible PVDF solvent cement.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVDF piping systems using 1/2 inch socket-end pipe and fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified piping contractor familiar with plastic solvent-cement techniques. Shut off and depressurize the line before cutting or joining any fittings. Use only PVDF-compatible solvent cement — standard PVC or CPVC cements are not suitable for this material. Reference applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements for plastic piping in chemical or high-purity service.
