The NIBCO CC03250 is a Schedule 80 polypropylene tee fitting designed for branch connections in industrial, chemical, and corrosion-resistant piping systems. Molded from black polypropylene, this fitting offers strong resistance to a wide range of chemicals, acids, and bases that would degrade metal or PVC fittings. All three ports use female iron pipe thread (FIPT) end connections, making it straightforward to thread directly onto male-threaded pipe or nipples. At 1 inch, it fits standard 1-inch nominal pipe and is suitable for both liquid and select low-pressure gas distribution lines where polypropylene is an approved material.
This fitting is commonly used in industrial process piping, chemical handling lines, water treatment systems, and laboratory plumbing where corrosion resistance and chemical compatibility are priorities. Plumbers and pipefitters install it in applications where metal fittings would corrode or where weight savings matter. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides added pressure ratings and mechanical durability compared to Schedule 40 equivalents, making it a suitable choice for demanding service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-inch Schedule 80 polypropylene threaded piping systems using standard NPT male-threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Depressurize and drain the line fully before removing any existing fitting. Use PTFE thread tape or a thread sealant rated for polypropylene and the specific media being conveyed. Avoid over-tightening threaded polypropylene fittings, as the material can crack under excessive torque.
