The NIBCO B107250 is a cast copper pressure tee fitting designed for joining copper piping in plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC hydronic systems. It features a 3-inch run by 2-1/2-inch run by 1-1/2-inch branch configuration with C x C x C (sweat) end connections on all three ports. Cast copper construction provides a dense, void-free wall suited for pressure service. The fitting is used wherever a reducing branch takeoff is needed in a copper piping system. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.
This tee is appropriate for residential and light commercial pressure piping applications including domestic water supply, hydronic heating and cooling distribution, and mechanical room piping. The C x C x C connection type requires soldering all three ports, making it compatible with standard hard-drawn or annealed copper tubing. The reducing branch allows a 1-1/2-inch branch line to be taken off a 3-inch or 2-1/2-inch main.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting for copper tubing systems using sweat (solder) end connections in residential and commercial plumbing and hydronic piping applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM or ASME standards for solder joints. Shut off and fully drain the water system and relieve all pressure before cutting into any existing line. Clean all mating tube ends and fitting sockets with emery cloth and apply flux prior to soldering. Do not apply heat to the fitting while the system is under pressure or contains water.
