The NIBCO 9194550 is a Series 620L copper stub-out fitting with a low heel inlet, designed for residential and commercial plumbing rough-in applications. Manufactured from wrot copper with an FTG x solder end style, this fitting transitions from in-wall copper supply lines to fixture supply connections. It measures 1/2 x 8 inches nominal and is domestically produced. The wrot copper construction offers consistent wall thickness and superior soldering performance compared to cast alternatives. This fitting is a standard choice for licensed plumbers completing rough-in work on water supply systems.
The 9194550 stub-out is rated for potable water, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in both residential and light commercial construction. The 8-inch nominal length positions the fitting for standard wall depth rough-in, leaving a solder-ready stub exposed for connection to angle stops, washing machine outlets, or similar terminations. The FTG end accepts standard copper tubing directly without an additional fitting socket, simplifying the connection at the supply branch.
Rated for use in residential and commercial potable water systems, air conditioning, and refrigeration piping. Designed as an OEM-style copper stub-out replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 1/2-inch copper supply lines using FTG x solder connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or soldering. Use appropriate flux and lead-free solder for potable water applications as required by code. The low heel inlet bracket must be secured to framing before drywall installation to prevent fitting movement at the finished wall.
