The NIBCO 39923677570 is a two-piece, full-port bronze ball valve with a solder-end (female solder cup) connection and a carbon steel standard lever handle. Rated at 600 PSI cold working pressure (CWP) and 150 PSI steam working pressure (SWP), this quarter-turn valve is built for demanding commercial and light industrial service. The ball is brass with a hard chrome plate finish, the stem is silicon bronze, and the seat seals are reinforced PTFE (RPTFE) for durability across a wide range of media. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this valve in new construction and retrofit work.
This valve is suited for residential and commercial piping systems handling hot and cold domestic water, HVAC hydronic circuits, low-pressure steam, compressed air, LP gas, and natural gas. The full-port design maintains full flow diameter through the valve body, reducing pressure drop across the fitting. At 2 inches nominal size, it fits standard 2-inch copper tube solder connections and is a practical choice for main branch and riser applications in mechanical rooms and process piping.
Designed for use with standard 2-inch copper tube solder-cup connections in commercial HVAC, domestic plumbing, compressed air, low-pressure steam, LP gas, and natural gas piping systems. Consult NIBCO technical data sheets, valve selection guides, and catalog documentation for full engineering and application compatibility details.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B31.1 or B31.9 piping standards. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before cutting into any existing line. When soldering, remove or protect the RPTFE seats and seals from excessive heat by keeping the ball in the open position and using a wet rag on the valve body during the sweat process. Verify pressure rating compatibility with the system before returning to service.
