The NEWAGE INDUSTRIES 5322744 is a compression tube female elbow fitting designed to connect tubing to a female-threaded port at a 90-degree angle. It accepts tubing with a 3/8 inch outside diameter and threads into a 1/2 inch female-threaded connection. Constructed from perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), this fitting delivers excellent chemical resistance and is well suited for high-purity fluid handling applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and process technicians install this type of fitting where a direction change is needed in a compression tube line without the use of soldering or welding.
This compression female elbow is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, laboratory fluid systems, chemical processing lines, and semiconductor or pharmaceutical process piping where non-reactive, high-purity materials are required. The PFA and PTFE construction makes it appropriate for aggressive chemical service, ultra-pure water, and corrosive fluid lines where metal fittings would be unsuitable. It is sold individually and is intended for direct installation into an existing female-threaded port.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation compression tube fitting for systems using 3/8 inch OD tubing and 1/2 inch female-threaded connections in chemical, high-purity, or process fluid applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified process technician. Shut off and depressurize the fluid line completely before disassembly or installation. Hand-tighten the threaded connection first, then use an appropriate wrench to achieve a leak-free seal without over-torquing the PFA or PTFE body, as plastic compression fittings are susceptible to cracking under excessive force. Verify compatibility of the fitting material with the specific fluid and operating conditions before placing into service.
