The NEWAGE INDUSTRIES 5013183 is a barbed tube elbow fitting designed to connect flexible tubing to a male NPT-threaded port at a 90-degree angle. The barb accepts 1/4-inch inner-diameter tubing, and the threaded end is 1/4-inch NPT male. Constructed from polyethylene, this fitting resists moisture and many common chemicals, making it suited for low-pressure fluid and air transfer lines. It is REACH and RoHS compliant, meeting regulatory requirements for restricted substances. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance techs use this type of fitting when routing flexible tubing into threaded ports on equipment, manifolds, or panels.
This elbow fitting is used in residential and light commercial applications where a directional change is needed between a flexible tube run and a threaded connection point. Typical install scenarios include condensate drain lines, pneumatic control tubing, chemical feed lines, and low-pressure fluid distribution systems. The 90-degree elbow geometry allows routing tubing along tight corners or around enclosure walls without kinking the line. The polyethylene construction keeps weight low and resists corrosion in damp environments common to HVAC and plumbing installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-service fitting for low-pressure flexible tubing systems that use 1/4-inch inner-diameter tubing and 1/4-inch NPT female-threaded ports.
Installation is performed by plumbing or HVAC technicians following applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for the system being serviced. Shut off fluid or air supply and relieve line pressure before replacing any inline fitting. Push flexible tubing fully over the barb past the retention bead and secure with an appropriate clamp if the application requires a leak-proof seal. Do not exceed the pressure or temperature ratings of the tubing being used with this fitting.
