The NEW PIG DRM299 is a polyethylene drum wedge designed to stabilize and chock 55-gallon drums during dispensing, storage, or transport staging. The wedge slides under the drum to prevent rolling on flat or slightly uneven surfaces, reducing the risk of accidental movement in busy shop or warehouse environments. Constructed from durable polyethylene, the DRM299 stands 5.625 inches tall and spans 10 inches wide, giving it a stable footprint against standard drum bases. Maintenance technicians, facility managers, and safety personnel use this accessory as a low-cost, passive control measure alongside drum storage racks and secondary containment systems.
The DRM299 is suited for light industrial and commercial environments where drums are staged for active use or temporarily stored on concrete or sealed flooring. It is appropriate for use with standard 55-gallon steel or poly drums in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance shops. The green color provides quick visual identification on the shop floor. Each package contains one drum wedge.
Designed as an OEM-style drum stabilization accessory for use with standard 55-gallon drums in industrial and commercial maintenance settings.
Placement of drum wedges does not require tools or fasteners. Position the wedge firmly against the base of the drum on a clean, level surface before loading or dispensing. For drums stored near floor drains or on sloped surfaces, verify the wedge maintains full contact with both the drum base and the floor. Facility safety personnel should confirm wedge use aligns with applicable site-specific drum storage and hazmat handling procedures.
