Neutrik Americas NC5FX1-TOP 5-pole Female Cable Connector

Product Description

The NEUTRIK AMERICAS NC5FX1-TOP is a 5-pole female cable connector designed for field-termination of multi-conductor cables in professional audio, lighting, and low-voltage control applications. The connector accepts male panel-mount counterparts in standard XLR-style configurations. It is suitable for use wherever a secure, locking cable connection is required on a terminated cable assembly. Electricians, AV integrators, and lighting technicians working on stage, studio, or installed system wiring commonly specify this connector type for reliable signal and power interconnects.

The NC5FX1-TOP is applied in professional audio and entertainment technology wiring, including mixing console snake cables, DMX lighting control runs, and multi-channel speaker system wiring. Its 5-pole configuration supports applications that require additional conductors beyond the standard 3-pole XLR layout, such as speaker return lines or dual-channel audio in a single connector housing. This connector is sold as a single unit and is intended for field assembly by qualified technicians.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by AV integrators, electricians, or qualified technicians using standard hand tools including a soldering iron and wire stripper. Ensure the cable is properly prepared and conductors are stripped to the appropriate length before soldering to the connector pins. Verify the locking collar engages fully upon mating to the receptacle. Follow applicable low-voltage wiring guidelines and manufacturer assembly instructions for proper termination.
