The NEUTRIK AMERICAS NC3MD-LX-BAG is a 3-pin male XLR connector finished in black and silver. It serves as a cable-end connector for balanced audio signal wiring in professional audio, broadcast, lighting control, and AV integration applications. The connector accepts a standard male XLR pinout and is designed for field termination onto microphone cables, snake cables, and other balanced-line wiring. Installation is performed by audio technicians, AV integrators, and electricians working on low-voltage signal systems. The black shell with silver contacts gives a clean, professional appearance while maintaining standard XLR mechanical compatibility.
This connector is suited for residential and commercial audio installations, touring and live sound setups, studio wiring, and fixed-installation AV systems. It is commonly terminated onto microphone cables, DMX lighting control lines, and balanced analog audio runs. Each unit is sold individually, making it appropriate for single-connector repairs or small termination jobs as well as bulk wiring projects.
Designed as a standard 3-pin male XLR cable-end connector compatible with female XLR panel-mount and chassis receptacles in professional audio, broadcast, and lighting control systems.
Field termination of XLR connectors is performed by audio technicians and low-voltage AV integrators. De-energize any phantom-power or signal source before terminating or inserting the connector. Common tools include a soldering iron, solder, and a cable stripper sized for the cable jacket in use. Follow IPC-610 or applicable facility wiring standards for solder joint quality on audio connectors.
