The NDL INDUSTRIES W4055 is an ACR copper reducing tee designed to connect three copper tubes of different diameters in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Manufactured in a cup-by-cup-by-cup (C x C x C) configuration, each end is formed to receive standard copper tube diameters, allowing secure brazed or soldered joints. The fitting enables smooth flow transitions and branch connections at points where the main line and branch line differ in size. HVAC and refrigeration technicians install this fitting when routing refrigerant lines through split systems, chillers, or refrigeration circuits that require a directional branch at a reduced diameter.
This reducing tee is suited for ACR copper tubing applications in both residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. It is used in situations where a main refrigerant line must branch off to a secondary circuit or component at a smaller tube size, such as when connecting evaporator coil circuits or distributing refrigerant to multiple zones. The C x C x C end configuration makes it compatible with standard copper tube sizing used across the refrigeration trade.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for ACR copper tube systems in refrigeration and air conditioning applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician. Recover and evacuate refrigerant from the system before cutting into any refrigerant line. Joints are made by brazing or soldering per the fitting manufacturer recommendations and applicable mechanical codes. Ensure proper flux application and heat distribution across the cup joint to achieve a leak-free connection before recharging the system.
