The NDL INDUSTRIES W4002 is a copper reducing tee designed for sweat-solder connections in residential and commercial plumbing systems. The fitting accepts 1/2-inch copper on both the run ends and steps down to a 3/8-inch branch outlet, making it a practical solution when a smaller branch line must be tapped off a 1/2-inch main. All three connections are copper-to-copper (C X C X C), meaning they are joined using standard sweat soldering technique. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting during rough-in work, system repairs, and remodel projects where reducing branch runs are required.
This reducing tee is suited for potable water supply lines, hydronic heating distribution piping, and general plumbing branch connections where a 1/2-inch run must feed a 3/8-inch outlet. The CxCxC connection type means no press fittings or threaded adapters are required at the joint. It is available in a box quantity of 50 units, making it appropriate for both single-fixture repairs and larger new-construction or service projects where multiple fittings are needed.
Designed as a standard sweat-solder copper reducing tee for use with 1/2-inch copper main run pipe and 3/8-inch copper branch pipe in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Installation of this fitting is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or fitting. Clean and flux all joint surfaces before applying heat and solder; use lead-free solder where required by code for potable water systems. Inspect all joints for complete solder fill before restoring system pressure.
