The NDL INDUSTRIES W2368 is a 90-degree long radius copper street elbow designed for use in copper pipe systems where directional changes are required without the use of a coupling on one end. The FTG x C connection type means one end accepts a fitting (sweat socket) while the other end is a plain copper tube end that solders directly into a standard fitting. Long radius geometry reduces turbulence and pressure drop compared to standard elbows, making it well suited for systems where flow efficiency matters. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters handle this type of fitting in both new construction and remodel applications.
This elbow is used in residential and light commercial copper plumbing systems, including domestic water supply, hydronic heating lines, and refrigeration piping where copper tube and fittings are specified. The street configuration allows it to be used in tight spaces where back-to-back fittings are needed, eliminating an extra coupling and reducing overall joint count at directional changes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 3-1/8 inch copper tube systems using standard sweat (solder) connections per ASTM and ASME B16.22 copper fitting standards.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter using standard sweat-soldering tools including a torch, flux, and appropriate solder per local plumbing code. Shut off and drain the water supply completely before cutting into any existing line. Follow IPC and local code requirements for solder type, especially on potable water systems where lead-free solder and flux are mandatory. Ensure all mating tube ends are deburred, cleaned, and fluxed before assembly.
