The NDL INDUSTRIES W1326 is a copper reducing bushing used to connect two different-diameter copper tubing sections within a plumbing or HVAC refrigerant piping system. With a FTG x C (fitting-to-copper sweat) connection type, the male FTG end inserts directly into a fitting socket while the female C end accepts standard copper tube. The bushing steps down from a 7/8-inch fitting connection to a 5/8-inch copper tube connection, allowing technicians to reduce pipe size inline without adding extra fittings. Plumbers and HVAC technicians install this part during new construction, retrofits, and repair work where tubing diameter transitions are required.
This reducing bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC piping applications where a controlled diameter reduction is needed. The FTG x C configuration makes it compatible with standard sweat-solder assembly, which is the most common joining method used in copper tubing systems. It is typically installed wherever a larger-diameter run must transition to a smaller branch or component connection. Box quantity of 50 makes it practical for contractors stocking shop inventory or working multi-unit jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for copper plumbing and HVAC piping systems requiring a 7/8-inch to 5/8-inch inline reduction with a FTG x C sweat connection.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians using standard copper sweat-solder techniques. Shut off the water or refrigerant supply and depressurize the line before cutting or fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before applying heat and solder per applicable plumbing code, such as IPC or local jurisdiction requirements. Do not overheat the fitting, as excess heat can damage adjacent components or compromise the solder joint.
