The NATIONAL MFG/SPECTRUM BRANDS HHI N830-313 is a stainless steel wire cable clamp engineered for forming secure eyes and loops on wire rope. Sized for 3/16-inch wire rope, this clamp provides a reliable mechanical termination point in rigging, anchoring, and tensioning applications. Stainless steel construction resists corrosion and weathering, making it suited for outdoor and marine-adjacent environments where carbon steel hardware would degrade. Each package contains 12 clamps, providing enough hardware to complete multiple terminations on a single job. Licensed tradespeople and experienced riggers rely on this type of hardware when building guy-wire assemblies, safety lines, and structural tie-downs.
This cable clamp is used wherever wire rope requires a looped or eye termination — common in overhead utility work, fence tensioning, dock and pier hardware, antenna guy-wire installations, and general construction rigging. The stainless steel grade resists rust in humid, coastal, and wet outdoor conditions. Always follow the applicable standard for the minimum number of clamps required per loop based on wire rope diameter. Skipping clamps or spacing them incorrectly reduces the rated holding strength of the termination.
Designed for use with 3/16-inch wire rope in standard eye and loop termination applications. Confirm wire rope diameter before installation to ensure proper clamp fit and rated holding performance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified rigger or tradesperson familiar with wire rope termination standards. Before installing, de-tension the wire rope completely and verify the correct number of clamps required for the rope diameter per applicable rigging standards. Seat the U-bolt over the dead (short) end of the wire rope and the saddle over the live (load-bearing) end — never reverse this orientation. Torque fasteners evenly and re-inspect clamps after initial load is applied.
