The NATIONAL MARKER N342535 is a 10-inch extra heavy T-hinge constructed from stainless steel for long-term corrosion resistance. Designed for demanding outdoor and structural applications, it features a patented bearing design that eliminates metal-to-metal contact, resulting in smooth, quiet operation over an extended service life. The tight pin configuration supports both right-hand and left-hand installations without modification. Offset screw holes are built into the plate to provide additional holding strength at the fastener points. Rated to meet ANSI/BHMA A156.20 bearing grade cycle requirements at 100,000 cycles. Supplied as one hinge per pack.
This hinge is well suited for gates, barn doors, shed doors, and heavy exterior wood applications where moisture exposure and fastener compatibility with treated lumber are concerns. The stainless steel construction is rated ACQ-safe, making it compatible with premium woods such as cedar and redwood, as well as ACQ-pressure-treated lumber. Typical installers include carpenters, general contractors, and experienced DIYers working on residential or light commercial exterior door and gate projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation T-hinge for heavy exterior doors, gates, and structural wood panels. ACQ-safe construction makes it suitable for use with preservative-treated lumber and premium wood species such as cedar and redwood.
Installation is typically performed by carpenters or general contractors using standard hand tools and fasteners appropriate for the door or gate material. Ensure fastener length and type are selected for the substrate thickness and load requirements of the application. When installing on pressure-treated or ACQ lumber, use only compatible stainless steel or hot-dipped galvanized fasteners to prevent galvanic corrosion. Verify door or gate alignment before fully seating all screws.
