The NATIONAL MARKER N245142 is a forged steel galvanized eye bolt designed for secure load-attachment applications in rigging, lifting, and anchoring work. The shoulder design allows the bolt to be tightened firmly in place, which is critical for maintaining alignment under load. Machine screw threads are cut for precision fitment, and a hex nut is assembled on the bolt. The bar code label is color coded to identify the corresponding wire rope size at a glance, and the safe working load (SWL) is clearly marked on the label. This hardware is suited for installation by riggers, millwrights, and general contractors working in industrial and commercial environments.
This eye bolt is intended for use in rigging and overhead lifting setups where a shouldered, fixed-position eye bolt is required. The shoulder contact with the mounting surface prevents rotation under load, making it appropriate for angular loading applications when used within rated limits. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for outdoor or moderately humid environments. Minimum order quantity is 3 units per purchase. Typical applications include structural steel connections, equipment tie-down, and wire rope termination points.
Part of the 3260BC series eye bolt line. Pintle punched for 5/16 inch bolts on the 1/2 inch size and 3/8 inch bolts on the 5/8 inch size. Designed as an OEM-style shouldered eye bolt for use with standard machine screw thread rigging and wire rope hardware.
Installation is typically performed by a qualified rigger or ironworker following applicable ASME B30 and OSHA rigging standards. Shut down all load-bearing operations in the work area before installing or replacing eye bolts. Tighten the hex nut fully so the shoulder seats flush against the mounting surface before applying any load. Never exceed the marked safe working load printed on the label.
