The NAPOLEON lv38n-1 is a single-sided, electronic ignition direct vent gas fireplace in the Vector Series. It runs on natural gas or propane and delivers up to 30,000 BTU/h of radiant heat. The unit measures 53.31 inches wide, 41.19 inches tall, and 19.89 inches deep, making it suited for larger wall installations where visual impact and heating performance both matter. It features a Divinity flame pattern, a Night Light system, and Mirro Flame porcelain reflective radiant panels that amplify flame appearance. Installation requires a 5x8-inch direct vent termination. Licensed fireplace or HVAC technicians are the typical installing trade.
The lv38n-1 is designed for residential installations, including mobile homes, where mobile home approval is required by code. The direct vent configuration draws combustion air from outside and exhausts through a sealed coaxial or co-linear flue, keeping indoor air quality unaffected. The electronic ignition valve eliminates the need for a standing pilot, reducing gas consumption during idle periods. This fireplace suits living rooms, great rooms, and open-concept spaces where a wide, landscape-format firebox is specified by the designer or homeowner.
Designed as an OEM direct vent gas fireplace unit within the NAPOLEON Vector Series, compatible with 5x8-inch direct vent termination kits and accessories specified for the Vector Series lineup.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fireplace installer or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with the appliance manufacturer instructions, local building codes, and NFPA 54 or NFPA 58 as applicable for natural gas or propane fuel type. Shut off the gas supply at the service valve and verify zero pressure before making any gas connections. The direct vent flue termination must be positioned per clearance requirements in the installation manual to prevent recirculation of exhaust gases. For mobile home installations, verify that the unit is installed per HUD standards and any applicable state or local manufactured housing codes.
