The NATIONAL MFG/SPECTRUM BRANDS HHI N248-260 is a zinc wire cable clamp sized for 1/16 inch wire rope. It is used to form eyes or loops at the end of wire rope assemblies, securing the rope back on itself to create a fixed termination point. The saddle base is grooved to conform to the wire rope profile, increasing contact area and grip strength. Each unit is sold in a boxed loose pack of 20. This type of hardware is commonly installed by riggers, maintenance technicians, and general contractors working with small-diameter wire rope applications.
This clamp is suited for light-duty wire rope termination tasks in residential and commercial maintenance, general construction, and industrial settings. The 1/16 inch sizing targets the smallest common wire rope diameters used in cable runs, guide wires, clotheslines, and similar low-load applications. The zinc construction provides basic corrosion resistance for indoor and sheltered outdoor use. The 20-unit pack quantity supports batch jobs or stocking needs for service professionals.
Designed for use with 1/16 inch diameter wire rope in standard eye and loop termination applications.
Installation should follow ASME B30.26 or applicable rigging standards for wire rope clip orientation and torque sequencing. Always orient the saddle on the live or load-bearing side of the rope and the U-bolt on the dead or short end. Apply initial snugging, load the assembly, and re-torque the nuts before placing in service. Do not use these clamps as the sole means of support for life-safety loads without verifying the rated capacity of the complete assembly.
