The wrot construction means the fitting is wrought from solid copper, giving it a denser grain structure than cast fittings. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this union wherever a section of copper line must be periodically disconnected for service or replacement without cutting the pipe.

This union is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and refrigeration piping applications where 1/2-inch copper tubing is used.
