The MUELLER STREAMLINE DWVTRED22112 is a copper DWV reducing tee designed for drain, waste, and vent piping systems. It features a 2-inch by 2-inch run with a 1-1/2-inch reduced outlet, allowing a branch connection to a smaller-diameter line without additional reducers. The CxCxC end configuration means all three ports accept standard copper solder connections. Plumbers install this fitting during rough-in work on residential and light commercial drainage systems where branch lines step down in diameter.
This fitting is used in copper DWV applications where a main 2-inch drain or vent line needs a 1-1/2-inch branch takeoff. Typical installations include lavatory drains, standpipes, and vent branch connections tying into a 2-inch stack or horizontal run. All three ports use a cup-by-cup-by-cup solder joint, making this a standard sweat-fit component for licensed plumbers working to IPC or UPC requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style copper sweat fitting for use in residential and light commercial copper DWV piping systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and drain the affected lines before cutting into any existing piping. Clean and flux all mating surfaces thoroughly before applying heat; overheating copper DWV fittings can damage the cup seats and compromise the solder joint. DWV fittings must be installed with correct fall and orientation per IPC or UPC drainage slope requirements.
