The MUELLER STREAMLINE CPL00911 is a wrot copper pressure coupling with a staked stop, designed for sweat (solder) connections in residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC refrigerant piping systems. The staked stop ensures consistent insertion depth during assembly, reducing the chance of incomplete joints. Sized at 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch with a copper-by-copper (CxC) connection type, this coupling joins two lengths of copper tubing in a straight run. It meets ASME and NSF compliance standards, making it suitable for potable water systems as well as mechanical piping applications.
This coupling is used in residential water supply lines, hydronic heating systems, and HVAC refrigerant line sets wherever a straight copper-to-copper joint is required. Plumbers and HVAC technicians install this fitting during new construction, remodel work, and repair of existing copper piping systems. Its compact dimensions make it practical in tight wall cavities or mechanical chases where clearance is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat coupling for use with standard 1/2 inch copper tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC piping systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician using standard sweat-soldering tools including a torch, flux, and lead-free solder per applicable plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the water or refrigerant system fully before cutting into the line. Clean all mating surfaces and apply flux before heating to ensure a complete, void-free joint. Follow local plumbing codes and ASME guidelines for material and solder type when connecting to potable water lines.
