The MUELLER STREAMLINE CPL00369 is a wrot copper reducing coupling designed to connect two sections of copper tubing where a change in pipe size is required. Configured with a fitting-end (FTG) inlet and a sweat-solder (C) outlet, this coupling allows direct insertion into an existing copper fitting socket without the need for an additional fitting. It measures 0.75 inches in height and 1.24 inches in length, weighing just 0.04 pounds. Manufactured from wrot copper and built to ASME standards, it suits potable water, hydronic heating, and refrigeration piping applications where a reliable, leak-free joint is required.
This reducing coupling is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic systems, and refrigeration line sets wherever a 3/4-inch fitting end must transition to a 1/2-inch sweat connection. It is installed by licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians during new construction, remodel, or repair work. The FTG x C configuration makes it particularly useful when adapting branch lines or reducing supply runs within existing copper distribution systems.
Designed as an OEM-style wrot copper reducing coupling for use in standard copper tubing systems where an FTG x C connection is required at a 3/4-inch to 1/2-inch size reduction.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and fully depressurize and drain the line before cutting or fitting any copper pipe. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before soldering, and use lead-free solder where required by code for potable water applications. Do not apply heat to the fitting while the line is pressurized or contains moisture.
