The MUELLER STREAMLINE COTRED34341 is a copper reducing tee fitting designed to create a branch connection in a continuous pipeline while transitioning between nominal pipe sizes. It features solder cup ends for reliable sweat connections and is manufactured from ASTM B75 Alloy C12200 copper. The fitting is lead free and dezincification resistant, making it suitable for potable water, medical gas, and other sensitive fluid systems. Certified to NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G, ASME B16.22, MSS SP-104, MSS SP-109, and NFPA 99 for health care facility gas and vacuum systems, this tee meets the compliance requirements of demanding commercial and institutional installations.
This reducing tee is used in residential and commercial plumbing and mechanical systems where a pipeline must branch off in a new direction while also reducing the branch or run size. The 3/4 x 3/4 x 1 inch configuration accommodates a 1-inch run inlet with 3/4-inch outlets, making it a common choice in hydronic heating, domestic water distribution, and medical gas piping. It is part of the Series 611BH product line. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting during new construction and retrofit work where NSF and ASME compliance is required.
Designed as an OEM-style solder cup copper reducing tee for 3/4 x 3/4 x 1 inch nominal pipe size installations in potable water, hydronic, and medical gas piping systems where NSF/ANSI 61, ASME B16.22, and NFPA 99 compliance is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the system and allow all piping to cool completely before cutting into an existing line. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before sweating the joint, and allow the fitting to cool fully before restoring system pressure. For medical gas applications, follow the additional procedures specified under NFPA 99 and the Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G4.1, which may require certified brazing personnel.
