The MUELLER STREAMLINE COTRED11114 is a copper reducing tee fitting designed for use in pressurized plumbing and hydronic systems. This sweat-style fitting connects two 1-inch run outlets to a 1-1/4-inch branch outlet, allowing a controlled reduction in line size within a single fitting. Copper construction provides corrosion resistance and long service life in potable water, heating, and cooling distribution lines. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting during new construction, remodel work, and system retrofits wherever a branch reduction is required in the piping layout.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications including domestic hot and cold water supply lines, hydronic heating loops, and general copper pipe distribution systems. The sweat-end configuration allows the fitting to be soldered directly onto standard copper tubing using conventional torch and solder methods, making it a straightforward component in any copper piping assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for standard copper tube plumbing systems using 1-inch and 1-1/4-inch diameter copper pipe per ASTM specifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the water supply and drain the affected piping before cutting and soldering. Use appropriate flux, lead-free solder, and a properly sized torch for the copper tube diameter being joined. Allow the joint to cool fully and pressure-test the system before returning it to service.
